Anyone else love this movie??

Anyone out there absolutley love this film as much as I did?

reply

Yeah, pretty much. I went through a big phase about ten years ago where I watched it all the time and thought it was the best modern movie I'd ever seen. I'm not so obsessed with it now but I still think it's a pretty extraordinary movie.

Definitely in my all time top 10. I love everything about it, it's almost flawless. I watched it again the other night and it was very painful to see PSH, especially as his role is so sympathetic and tender. Phil Parma has to be one of my favourite movie characters ever. He's beautiful.

It sits at number 4 in my Top 100 movies of all time. I absolutely love it! It's a proper assault to the senses. Especially Cruise. His best performance if you ask me. But there isn't a single player in it who puts a foot wrong. Jim Curring is one of my all time favorite movie characters and the ending is just perfection. The very last second, when Melora Walters breaks the fourth wall and looks into the camera with such a hopeful smile, gets me every time. Love it! I reviewed it very recently if you would like to here a bit more of my thoughts on the film. You can check that out here: http://youtu.be/VtbAwq5Zf4M

I agree that this was Tom Cruise's best performance. All of the lead actors in this movie were superb in their roles, IMO.
