I don't know, this show's just damn funny.

Everyday when you're walking down the street...

reply

I'll tell you why it is so funny. it is because it had one of the funniest actresses on Mad TV as a staff writer in Alex Borstein.

reply

This movie's hilarious because it touches on so many facts of history, and makes fun of them.

Like the episode where they're doing the War of 1812, and the Letter of Armistice came to Jackson (I think) two weeks late. It had the kid who screams a lot yelling to Jackson that the war had been over for two weeks, but he had a stitch in his side, so he couldn't talk.

Or the episode where I think it was Cornwallis was telling his troops to not fire until the soldiers saw the whites of the other soldiers eyes, and Froggo kept asking what if they were wearing sunglasses, or what if their eyes were bloodshot.

OR the episode where Lucky Bob and the Japanese girl were selling cookies to Genghis Kahn. "Would you like to buy a cookie?" "NO!"

I went around for like, two years saying "You are correct, sir" and "hi-yo!" before I knew that they really came from Ed McMahon and not Lucky Bob.

-Why do they call him Lucky Bob?
-Because he's the handsomest person in his family.
-Hi-Yo!!!

I don't know if that quote is right, but it's something like that, and how I remember it.

I STILL say that.

Though I knew it was from Ed McMahon, I credit Lucky Bob whenever someone asks. ^_^

The Shakespeare episode is one of my favorites!
Another great one is the episode about the Salem Witch Trials, which took the real story and added dashes of "Bewitched" and Monty Python. And it all started because Charity Bazaar got a failing grade on her test, so naturally she "wasn't happy." In a quest for revenge she accuses her teacher of being a witch, and the trial is straight out of "MP and the Holy Grail." Priceless!
And who could forget "Miss Information" or "Ask Me If I Care."

HAHAHAHA!!! "ASK ME IF I CARE" IS THE ONLY PART OF THE SHOW I VAGUELY REMEMBER!! Wasn't it Toast's talk show or something?

reply

I LOVED Toast... and Froggo too!

Why was this show so wonderfully, wonderful: Great women in history in group therapy...that's why! Cleopatra, Martha Washington, Joan of Arc, and Lizzie Borden all sorting through their problems. The best part is when Lizzie labels herself the O.J. Simpson of her time! I showed that cartoon as the opening for a project at school (I'm a history major) and the class almost died.
