Scream Factory is releasing this on Blu-Ray.

Bout time somebody saved this underrated slasher gem from Out of Print obscurity, man. One of my personal favorite slasher movies and, by far, the best of the Scream cash-ins IMO.
Too bad it doesn't look like it'll be the unrated version but, from their post, they've seem to have done all they could. Either way, much appreciated and needed release.
Movies don't create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!

Nice to see it's being released ... but with the same cut that's on the DVD, I'll just keep the DVD.
shareGreat Point. This movie needs an unrated or Directors Cut. I watched this movie on cable years ago, and was surprised to see it here as Rated "R".
The movie comes off as more PG-13 than R, and from what Ive heard, the director meant for this movie to be a hard "R", but had to tone it down via the producers demands.
Still a pretty decent movie though
Apparently Scream Factory couldn't find the uncut print, and the director of the film didn't have it either—they tried to get it from USA Networks, but apparently had no luck. I'm wondering if the original cut is lost.
I never bought the DVD, so I ordered the Blu-ray from Scream Factory and got the limited edition poster with it which is kinda cool. The audio commentary and featurette is worth the price alone I think—I'm hoping the director's commentary will clarify the situation with the original cut, and perhaps give some answers as to what happened to it.
Looks like the Cherry Falls Blu-ray shall be available at the end of March 2016. I'm hoping for a commentary track with screenwriter Ken Selden.

It's a fun late 90's slasher. It's a shame it wasn't theatrically released. Brittany Murphy and Michael Biehn are great. Kudos to Scream Factory for releasing this on Blu Ray!
