Was the real laura Lee Sherman actually dead?(spoilers)

When the Sheriff goes to her house when he leaves you see someone watching him go - but was this meant to be Laura Lee Sherman or her son in drag? And if it was her son why was he just hanging around her house in drag when he didn't even kill the sheriff?

It was the real woman i think

i actually thought it was the son...And the reason he didnt kill him straight away was maybe he wanted jody to know the truth, hear it from her own father but i'm not sure or maybe it was the camara making you think there was someone watching i have no idea but thats what i thought.

It couldn't be the camera making you think someone was there cos you actually see someone from the back...well to my memory there was, it's been aggges since I watched that!!

I actually think it was Laura Lee Sherman watching Sheriff Marken

reply

It's implied that it's Laura Lee. Later, in the final scene of the movie, the same figure appears again, watching Jody from a distance.

I think it was the woman too. Why she didn't kill him? Not sure, but she used to be in love with him? But i dunno... lol

it was definately the son, everytime.the sheriff said she had not been seen for 25 years and the son at the end talks about his mother, in the past tense.i think she committed suicide years before.

it was laura Lee Sherman , theres no way the killer couldve known or got there before the sheriff as he said " he may be gone a while" therfore it was quite a distance away

reply

correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't the principal killed during the time he was visiting the Sherman house? making it impossible for him to be watching him from the house...dumdumdum...

reply

It was Lora Lee Sherman´s ghost, of course

reply

Maybe this would have been explained if the film hadn't been cut to ribbons, but.....

Plotwise it makes more sense to be the real Laura Lee in the house, with regards to the principal's death (again though, something that may have been cut). What makes me wonder is Biehn's conversation: "Did you find what you're looking for...." "I'm not sure". It makes me think he may have spoken to her......

Is there another way out of here, apart from the front door?
Yes, the back door.

I think it was the real loralee sherman, alot of people keep asking the question 'if it was her, why did she kill him if it was her', those people seem to be forgetting that Loralee wasn't actually a killer, it was her son pretending to be her as a killer making people think it was her.
It is implied that she is a child abuser (whipping her son in his cot), but that doesn't make her capable of murder.
I PERSONALLY think that it was Loralee in the house, and that the rape had pyschologically damaged her so much that she just wanted to live in seclusion, and i think she pyschologically damanged her son as well (turning him into a killer HELLO!).

I thought it was Loralee because this might sound stupid but the woman stood at the doors hair looked grey, and as for her not killing him as far as we know she didn't actually want revenge her son did :)

A bit late to the topic, but it was definitely Laura Lee

1. Time. There's no way he'd be able to kill Tom, beat Brent there when he doesn't even know he's going there, drive all the way back and wait for him. Marleston was busy killing Tom and setting up the ambush for Marken.

2. Why wait to ambush Brent? He's right there by himself in a house he doesn't know. It would have been much easier for him to knock out Brent there instead of the school (although the school ambush still worked.)

3. The hair had a more weathered and wore out look to it than Marleston's wig.

4. The ending with Jody seeing Laura Lee.

I think it was her. She did love that guy so i don't think she would kill him. The son was fkd up from all the childhood abuse and never living up to his mother.
