Accuracy and SPOILERS

I had read about the personal life and criminal career of Charles Peace before seeing this film, and, from what I remembered, the picture seemed to be quite remarkably accurate! I refreshed my memory by re-reading articles about the man, and found I had remembered correctly. From his harassment of Mrs Dyson (and her denials that there was anything 'going on'), her husband's murder, the murder of PC Cock, Peace's career as an inventor, his success as a picture framer and violinist, his escape attempts, his claims of belief in God and the devil - well, you get the picture.
A user review says that perhaps Michael Martin Harvey, who plays Peace, is a little too old for the part, but apparently even that is accurate, as contemporary reports say that he looked considerably older than his real age!

(Just looked at Michael Martin Harvey's details here on IMDB and apparently he was only 52 when this film was released!)
