End of Episode 26

Does anyone know the answer to this question? What happened to Linna, Nene, and Priss at the end of Episode 26? I have a fairly good idea, but the ending is still cryptic. All help is appreciated.

what i remmber Lina and Nene are on a beach naked looking up atr the exploding soace station whilst Priss is presumably in the artic singing a song to i believe her dead lover. but she sounds happy, like a spritual rebirth

She is singing her favorite song from when she was a kid. It was the song from the tape that was destroyed.

She told Leon that the reason she hated the A.D. Police is they destroy the building she was living in when they took out a rogue boomer. In the process destroyed her a tape with her favorite song on it.

I reckon Linna and Nene stuck on the island are going to have a tough time pushing a button every 108 minutes.

There was talk of a "Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2041" which I assume would have explained their fates/return to civilization, but 2041 never materialized, so Lord knows what happened to them afterward.

I have to admit, I never did like that ending.
