I bought the tape AFTER getting the DVD so I could see the missing scenes. I don't know why they took them out for the DVD version, they help the flow of the storyline. Maybe they wanted to fit the film on one disc and if they left the missing scenes out they could do that, and if they left them in it wouldn't all fit?
Anyway I'm going to see what I can do to add the scenes back in to the DVD. The tape does not have any copyright protection on it so it's easily transferred with a DVD-VHS recorder combo. Then I can transfer the missing scenes to my computer and add them back in for one complete disc. I hate when they chop up movies. Yes, there are some bad words in it (esp. near the beginning before the boy changes and mellows) but one should expect a pre-prison to be a rough place, so it fits and seems odd to be left out. It's the gratuitious use of curse words - just to put them in a film for no good reason to get an R rating - that most people object to.
