I thought Kai & Kendrix would have been cute together. There was too much emphasis on Leo that year!!!!

OMG, me too!! I didn't like Leo at all... to me, he was a weak red ranger and he just rubbed me the wrong way. I didn't like how Kendrix fawned over him, and Leo always seemed to just be leading her on. Plus, he seemed to get over Kendrix's death really quickly once Karone came along, didn't he?
Kai, on the other hand, seemed to love and respect Kendrix, and they had more in common. Blue rangers always seem to be deprived of romance in their lives, don't they?

I didn't like Leo either. He reminded me too much of Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four, particularly the cartoon. Every episode he would meet a girl and in 20 seconds, she'd be the love of his life. Leo had a bit of that with Kendrix and then Maya, later Karone and another girl with the jealous brother.

^Dumb question I suppose, but you do know she left willingly after finding out she had leukemia, right? Anyway, to get to the topic of the original post, I thought they would have made a great canon couple. But now we'll never know, mostly thanks not to her coming down with leukemia but the writers for holding off on it for too long.

Nothing anyone says about a book, movie, etc., for or against, beats experiencing it for yourself.

No he can’t have her I get her. She looks and acts just like my favorite nerdy girl on the bus. They both act dorky when running into me around a corner and she drops her books and just stars blankly though her glasses saying “Ahhhhhhh”

Fortunately, Leo and Kendrix were not an official couple. One episode "Red Romance" would clearly show it. I too, always thought Kendrix would be better off with Kai. I wouldn't mind seeing her hooked up with Damon, Mike, or even Maya or the original Magna Defender. I was so sad when Kendrix left. She was the cutest thing and she was like a little guinea pig you'd want to buy at the pet store.

Yeah, and it's so much fun to look for clues in the series that hinted a connection between them.

Kendrix definitely made an impression on me, because she's the only one I remembered after so many years. And watching the series again, I do think there'll never be a cooler character in a TV show. A nerdy girl that is beautiful and charming?! What a notion!
