Is this the "Jeremiah" that aired on Pax TV sometime around 2002? [Edited to add:] I'm pretty sure it is.
'Cause if so, I saw it back then, and wasn't overly impressed. The "Jeremiah" I saw actually misquoted Jeremiah in the famous "Temple of the Lord" speech, apparently with the intent of making Jeremiah sound more like most people's idea of Jesus. A better reading of the Bible would have "most people's idea of Jesus" sounding more like Jeremiah.
As one IMDb reviewer says, "awesome prophet" indeed. Jeremiah is one of my favorite OT books. If you're going to do it on film or video at all, the text demands a rigidly scrupulous and insightful rendering, and the "Jeremiah" I saw was not that.
