Enough's enough. The novelty was gone and there was little left to recommend it. Everyone knew what Hanzo's speciality was, and the sword fights were, like the first two, rubbish. This was a good place to stop, IMO.

I loved all three of them, but I kind of agree. It would have been bad to make it a long-running series like Zatoichi. There are only so many movie-length stories you could tell and still keep it recognizably "Hanzo."
