BLAH!!!!!

This is the Worst Movie I have ever seen. And I have even seen Summer Catch. It had nothing worth watching. I ahve never wanted to run out of a movie theater more than when I saw this movie.

YES...this is my all time least favorite film. Awful. As if I needed a reason to hate Richard Gere (or Winona Ryder for that matter) even more.

reply

Okay, if you hate Richard Gere and Winona Ryder so much, why did you see the 'bleeping' film in the first place?

I suspect you are not being totally honest about something. . .

reply

It is one of my all time least favorite movies. BUT I could actually watch it because it was so bad it was laughable. Unlike Couples Retreat which I saw tonight. That is unwatchable.

I like Richard Gere And Wynona Ryder and thought this was going to be good but I was just dieing during the movie. If someone likes it please, please tell me what makes it so good because it is pretty much my least favorite movie and I use it as a marker of all-time bad films.

i did not love it, but it really made me sad, and i think that it was intended to make people feel something. well i felt something, and the poem he says to her when she is about to die just made me cry.

What a complete waste of time! I thought "come on, it can't be that bad" and threw away a whole evening on it...do NOT make that mistake, people! And the ending -spoiler, warning- just sucked, if you excuse me...

And I could have lived without having seen Richard Gere cry. I mean, actors like Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt are standable in crying scenes (even enjoyable at times...) but this was just plain embarrassing.

This is definitely one of those lesser known awful movies..

Everybody talks about Showgirls.. or Battlefield Earth

but man... I would rather take a double dose of those than sit through this again!

and I actually love Winona!!!

reply

I don't like the two actors but i thought , hey, maybe the movie wont be that bad..but I didn't like it.. Winona whines when she speaks,, that just annoyed me... and there was just something kreepy about richard gere dating her and stuff.. and .. i just didn't like it.. It wasn't the WORST movie i've ever seen.. but it most certainly wasn't the best.

I liked it. Both are very appealing actors, the drama seemed quite realistic - there is probably TOO much said about the age difference in the movie (it's only 22 years), and I thought the depiction of New York was beautiful.

Her illness and Gere's reaction to it, were heart-rending. And I could easily see how it would affect him.

Only 22 years? That's all, huh? <@@>

You are not only one hate this crap film...the worst acting vinona and Richard Ger in s-e-x scene.....please Dont waste your time watching this movie. It had nothing worth watching./

that was a SEX scene?? it seemed more the window cleaner doing aromatherapy on the windows. awful x10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 movie

The uncomfortable laughs the scene elicits must be unintended. The use of the translucent window recalled the weird camera blurred affect of those types of intimate, love-making scenes in much older (and dated) films. That, along with the Moroccan beads hanging (and being languidly caressed) seemed to be a throwback to '70s romance and intimacy in film and TV. Didn't know whether to laugh or look away of disgust! What was meant to come off as artistic and delicate instead seemed so cheesy and off-putting.
