I liked her, she was a kind of sweet.
When she takes his watch;
Will: When do I get it back?
Her: When you forget that I have it..
It's so sweet!<3

reply

no she didnt annoy me. i felt really bad for her in this movie since she was sick and all.

reply

No, her character didn't annoy me a bit. However, real life Winona's shoplifting problem really did. What were you thinkin girl?

reply

No doubt it was sad when she died but I dont know...there were parts when I didnt like her character...Yeah that whole shoplifting thing was crazy!! Other than A Scanner Darkly has she done any films since then?

reply

Actually Clarissa...I agree. She annoyed me...At one point, I felt like telling her "Just Die already Winona". I dont know about you but i felt that the scene when she took his watch was a sign of her shoplifting phase....

reply

LMAO...That was too funny. I am glad that someone agrees with me that is how I was I was tired of hearing them both dwell on her being sick the whole time...Thanks for the shoplifting pun..It gave me a much need laugh out loud..
Its almost as funny as the post on the FLIKA board where someone asked if Dr.Phil was dissapointed that Tim MgGraw was singing and did he want him to go into the same field...priceless...

I found her less annoying than most of her characters. Normally she seems unattainable - like a child-woman unwilling or unable to give herself fully. In this one she was willing and able, uncharacteristically cheerful, sane, mature and available - until she got sick and died that is. Ironic.

You know me. I'm the same as you. It's two in the morning and I don't know nobody.

reply

I never though about it but that is extremely ironic...and what the hell was up with the hat she made...I thought it was quite ugly..

Some bonehead wrote "I never though about it but that is extremely ironic...and what the hell was up with the hat she made...I thought it was quite ugly.. "

Hey genius, the hat was made by the art director or someone in the wardrobe department. Also, it's spelled 'W - i - n - o - n - a.'

Have you or your caretaker given any thought to sterilization?

reply

Do you have nothing better to do than to make dumb ass comments all over message boards? From looking at your recent posts it appears you don't...It was just a simple statement and I dont give a damn who made W-I-N-O-N-A's hat all I said was that it was ugly...

I just thought Wynona and Gere was a mismatch. Bad casting.

reply

Again i agree. The hats are horrible..If she can actually "have a career" from making stupid hats. I should be able to make money making hats out of dog crap.....

reply

LMAO...Thats all I was saying..I hated that one that she made for Will's "party date" I could make the same thing out of pipe cleaners...We should start a buisness...

"Mrs. Dalloway... always giving parties to cover the silence"

reply

LMAO Clarissa...In a city where people consider art a painting made out of fecies and make millions, we will have a chance....Yes, we should start a company....Let start a paper hat business and sell each hat for $1000 a pop...

I dont know about you but when she told him on their first date that she was dying, I thought she was trying to con him into having a relationship..It seems like she tells EVERYONE she is dying..I should drop a bomb like that every time I date..... "By the way, Im dying. Can you pass the rolls." Everytime I see this film, I can not stop laughing (seriously). I consider this film a comedy. It is SO bad, that it is good. I almost want to own this DVD, but that would be contributing money to this disaster of a film..

reply

There we go sadie I think that we have found our calling...an escort service where each date comes equipt with your choice of either a pipe cleaner or dog fecies hat and at no extra charge a death sentence to suck you in to a relationship which will result in the death of your partner and the financial burden of his or her medical bills...GENIUS..Who could possibly resisit.

Clarissa you are a genius....

We will soon take over the world....Ha ha ha ha(evil laugh).

Winona,, thank you for this.

reply

To answer the first question, YES, she did.
She was too doey eyed, Peter panish, and sickly skinny, I dont know..
Dont like her in anything she is in.
Most of all she is a cleptomaniac! HA!

Life is like a wheel everything will change

reply

I don't really mind 'cause she's hot on this one..

reply

I kind f agree. Her character annoyed me a little too. I didn't feel there was a chemistry between Winona and Richard Gere. I liked the movie overall but that's because I'm a native New Yorker that loves Autumn in New York. I think the picture could have been much better with a little tweaking of Winona's character and a few things. She seemed like a 12 year old playing dress up. I was annoyed that she died in the end, and that if was going to die, she should have done it sooner, like maybe gotten pushed in front of a subway. And what's with wearing a pure white evening dress in New York in November???? Yes, she annoyed me!

reply

LMAO...That is what I thought she was very childish to me and while it would have been quite horrible to see her pushed in front a subway it probably would have been better that what happened in the film. I, like you, love New York and I love Richard Gere so it wasn't a bad movie it just could have been better with a better leading lady.

The old dreams were good dreams; they didn't work out, but I'm glad I had them.

reply

she probably has body odor issues too.
