DVD release?

Anyone know if they're going to release a Series Box set? I mean, it was only, what, 14-15 episodes? They could do that in one box set of maybe 3-4 discs. And it would be awesome!!!! When I wasn't born until 1989, but I used to catch repeats and stuff, and whenever I went to the video store, I rented every single Rainbow Brite they had! Now I don't even think the video store carries it...and it'd be awesome if it came out!

[Side note] I love a lot of the 80's cartoons....Jem and the Holograms, and Rainbow Brite, and My Little Pony and Friends, and Care Bears. They all rocked! Lol

I'd dearly love to know about DVD plans, too. I too loved all of those 80's cartoons--to the extent of dressing up as both Rainbow and Starbrite at a second grade Halloween party! (Didn't quite have the nerve for Jem or the Care Bears). They were all so sweet and colorful and brimful of niceness, and general silliness.

P.S. I came across a new Rainbow Brite sticker set the other day, so some part of the cartoon is still alive :)

Books first; food, clothes, and toothpaste eventually.

Kinda sucks that there is no sign of anything happening in North America. I for sure would be the first one in line to pick that up! RB, Jem and "Today's Special" were my favourite shows from when I was a kid, at least in terms of children's/family shows. I did like several sitcoms and "Star Trek", too. I would be so happy to see RB with a box set! I want kids of today especially to have the chance to see such excellent shows as I did as a child.

Does anyone remember the Moon Dreamers? I had all those toys as well as Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, Jem, Popples, Care Bears, and there was another show too called "Potato Head kids" or something like that. There were so many good shows from the 80's. Alot better than the stupid crap they show kids nowadays. Even though the animation was not as good, there is something about it that makes those shows more special. I always get those strong nostalgic feelings whenever I watch my old tapes.

"We plunged into the corniucopia, quivering with desire, in the ecstasy of unbridled avarice."
