other old disney shows

do you guys remember these old shows i cant remember the name of:

that show with the girl from oklahoma that kept looking out her window and talking to herself? and she was in love with this senior... he was spanish or something. and her little brother was 'minkus' from boy meets world and now 'mouth' from one tree hill. and in the later seasons, she moved into another familys house. the family had brittany murphy as the oldest daughter, and that other guy from boy meets world. rich or something? i dont know he was erics friend. anyways thats all i remember

and there was another show that i remember VERY little about but it drives me insane. there are two best friends going through "real life" situations i guess. it wasnt a comedy show... one of the friends was very tomboyish and had lots of brothers, and at one point her friend had a crush and/or made out with at least one of the brothers. and the tomboy's family owned a drugstore i think, and the dad was kind of racist. oh yeah and i'll i remember about the theme song is that at the very end the tomboy is leaning against the edge of the bed reading and her friend jokingly runs and jumps on the bed behind her. i dont know why

if you remember "flash forward" and "the famous jett jackson," you'll might remember this

reply

the first show is called the torkelsons (hyst)i have no idea what the other one is...

hey does anybody remember when lee did this --->ô¿o ? look! i can do it too!!!

Ahhh the second one is the only one i know but it bugs me too! The second on is on Lifetime all the time and he (the tomboys) best friend became her husband and his name was like....cole or something that didn't sound like a name,like...arghghh i can't remember!!

Another one that is bugging me is like her name was alex and it was on nickelodeon and she could like morph into a silvery liquid.

And another one it was this Spanish girl and like the episode I remember is she was trying to break the record for watching tv,so she watched this how for like 3 weeks straight until she was only an hour from breAKING the record and she thought to herself "This show has no meaning and its about a rich snobby kid" so she liketurned away and loss. nd the way it would show her mind (like on lizzie mcguire with the little cartoon charachter) was it was black and white and it was always a clip of how her life should be going.

Got any advice for me? and I'll try and find the second one,

plus for the first one. Just look up what shows minkus have been in and if any look familiar just pick it out!

the show youre thinking of is the secret world of alex maxx

reply

[deleted]

It's Alex Mack, not Maxx.

reply

i always liked that show, The Jersey. It was pretty neat I thought

reply

[deleted]

I know which one was with the girl watching tv. It was the brothers garcia. It wasn't canceled but a few years ago. I remember she was watching soap operas or 'Novellas'.

reply

Do you guys remember So Weird?
How about The Jersey?
And Smart Guy?
Any other shows i'm forgetting?

reply

So Weird was my favorite show for a while! It was like a kiddie X-Files, lol.

The Jersey -- I completely forgot about that one -- it was kind of stupid.

Smart Guy! "He's a smart guyyyyy" the theme song always got stuck in my head.

reply

The one with alex who could "turn into liquidy stuff" was THE SECRET WORLD OF ALEX MACK!!! And she morphed!!! I loved that show!!!

reply

The second one is the Brothers Garcia on Nickelodeon

reply

Does anyone remember an old show about a group of friends and they had the "MNFC" the Monday Night Football Club or something I've been trying to remember it for a really long time

reply

Wasn't that The Jersey? I HATED that one! Haha.

"Men kissing each other on stage! Drag queens! Children! It's a perfect world." - Michele Pawk

reply

i think ur show was flash foward? the second one

reply

I remember "In a heartbeat" with Lauren Collins from "Degrassi, The next generation", and "Bug Juice", right now I don't remember anymore. I wish they would put another disney channel and call it "vintage disney" or something like that so they can put all the old disney shows.

reply

I SOOO AGREE WITH YOU. they should have vintage disney have the following shows (just reruns) help me if i forget some:

So Weird
The Jersey
The Famous Jett Jackson
Bug Juice
In a Heartbeat
Smart Guy
Boy Meets World
Totally Circus
Even Stevens
and so on.

THE ORIGINAL DISNEY CHANNEL SHOWS ARE WAYY BETTER. no offense this is just my opinion but don't like the following shows:

The Replacements
Brandy and Mr. Whiskers
Dave The Barbarian
Lizzie McGuire.

I love hannah montana, that's so raven and suite life but i miss the original disney movies..

OH does anyone remember when they came out with a new disney channel movie EVERY MONTH? now they come out with one every couple of months but they used to have one every month.

VINTAGE DISNEY WOULD BE THE BEST CHANNEL EVER.

thanks for letting me share my thoughts!

reply

I totally agree. The Famous Jett Jackson, Flash Forward, Smart Guy, and So Weird were some of my favorites. I didn't like The Jersey but I'd take it over these new cartoon shows aimed at little kids. At least way back when, Disney aimed at teenagers. That's what Toon Disney should be for. Put all those cartoons on Toon Disney, like The Replacements, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, etc., and put good shows back on the Disney Channel.

reply

WHats the one were they like lived in like a car repair shop and the lawrence brothers where in it?
Help me i cant remember!

reply

Brotherly Love!

reply

Brotherly love!!!! i loved that show!!!! i wish they still had all the old ones on there.....i know i am too old to watch them now but still...lol

reply

So agreed, mietefan!!!!

I don't remember Flash Forward, but the rest I remember. I wish I saw more of The Famous Jett Jackson before it was canceled. I started liking it more just before they ended it!!

reply

wow i just had a flash back of so many great memories

reply

i used to love all these shows...what about so weird?wait was that what it was called?the one with the girl and they like saw scary things and stuff...im very bad at giving descriptions.

...our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate...

reply

ohh gosh I miss these shows :[

reply

hey what about z-games, where kids made up their own sports games? that was also a really fun show to watch!

If you love Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it copy this and make your signature! :-)

Another show that would be good for Vintage Disney Channel would be : Even Stevens and Lizze McGire. Even though they are fairly recent then The Jersey (which I loved) but they were direct toward another generation then the ones who are going to watch "Life With Dereck"

reply

I use to absolutley love all those shows, I mainly watched the re-runs that were on late at night for most of them but now you can't even do that. Those showed ruled.

*Hi, pass it on!*

reply

i know zoog disney was the best they had mini games polls and ROBOTS aha buh then they lik showed what was on disney lik what was on the so weird home page or something

reply

On vintage disney they could also show the MMC that would be great, and all the older disney channel movies they dont show anymore like Brink and the color of friendship.

I like some of the newer Disney shows like Hannah montanna, Suite Life, and Life with Derek...but it would be great to watch the shows i grew up on like Flash Forward and so on...

reply

I used to watch ALL those shows. I especially liked The Torkelsons and Flash Forward. I don't think anyone mentioned Growing Pains or The Babysitters Club. Does anyone remember those shows? I loved those too. And I think these were Nickelodeon shows but I also liked Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Clarissa Explains It All. Good old days. =)

reply

Just to let you guys know Boy Meets World, Smart Guy, and Brotherly Love aren't Disney Channel shows. Disney just showed reruns like they do now with Sister, Sister. BMW was on ABC and Smart Guy and Brotherly Love were both on WB.

reply

"In A Heartbeat" would have been such a *beep* great show. Scratch that it was a *beep* great show. It's a shame another network didn't pick it up or something, since I know Disney didn't want to keep airing the show because it was too "mature" or whatever. But then again, I only watched Nick and Disney as a kid, so if it did switch networks, I wouldn't have got the memo :( Oh wells...

reply

I know what you are talking about but I cant think of it either!! do you remember this show that was on abc family about this jewish family and this other rich family and the daughter from both families became friends....all i can remember is that the dad from 'full court miricle' (or whatevcr i saw it when i was babysitting...) was the girls brother...the theme song was 'do you believe in magic'....

lol sorry and thanks

reply

oh that was "saving grace!"
i loved that show. and the girl called her mom "tatty" or something, and the jewish girls parents owned a furniature store and they didnt like to call themselves the best in advertisements because they thought it was rude to show off lmao.
the girl that plays her friend (mae whitman) was on the last episode of greys anatomy and will be on the next one

reply

i miss all these disney shows now...but i think out of all the old ones, So Wierd was most definately the best!
I never really liked the Famous Jet Jackson or the Jersey but now that they never come on i would love to see them!

reply

Zoog Disney...wow, cant forget that. I remember all the old stuff.

The Torklesons
Ready or Not
Flash Forward
So Weird
Bug Juice
The Famous Jett Jackson

I mean the list goes on and on..now they have these idiotic shows airing like The Proud Family, Kim Possible? give me a freaking break. Is that really what kids want to see these days? Im 24 years old, and hell yes I used to watch all those shows I listed above, of course, I never told anybody :) I was a closet Disney Channel fan. How about the Movies?

Brink!
Moms Got A Date With A Vampire
Halloween Town (first one)

Brink! is one of my favorite movies, but anyways. I wish there was SOMETHING we as fans could do to make Disney release these shows on DVD or re-air them as reruns, hell, I'd settle for crappy time slots like, let's say, 4:00am..I dont care! Who agrees?

I'd email Disney if I thought they'd actually reply, but they wont. I hate corporate america.

reply

does anyone remember a show called Ocean Girl... i think that was the name. it was about like two brothers that lived on this submarine thingy and they met a girl on the beach that lived in the ocean and had a whale friend named charlie? it was something like that. now its on in canada at 4 in the morning. tried convincing the parents to move to canada so i could watch it but they didnt go for it. kids incorporated was a great show too. i feel old now looking at all these shows i used to watch. we should put together a petition for a Vintige Disney, i like it.

reply

Anybody remember Pete and Pete? I used to love that show!

reply

If you're talking about the show I'm thinking of, wasn't she like a mermaid or something that made it so she couldn't be on land or the adults couldn't find out??? I LOVED THAT SHOW!!! I lost track of the plot because when they brought out the third season they decided to re-run all of the eppies from before I had just gotten done watching them from the last season, and then we moved so I didn't have cable for a while... I was so sad I missed it!!! THAT WAS A GOOD SHOW!!!

reply

Does anyone remember an old Disney Channel show when at the beginning of each show (in the theme song part) there are drawings w/ chalk or something? And I think the main characters are a girl and a boy. And I want to say the boy's name is Tucker??? But I may be wrong, I just can't remember.

reply

That was Flash Forward, the most awesome show!

How oblivious a girl can be
Oblivious. A girl like me

reply

I miss old Disney Channel movies. I hate that they show Zenon: Z3, which is terrible, but rarely show the first two. Even Zenon the zequal wasn't that bad. But my all time favorite Disney channel movie would have to be Don't Look Under the Bed. They never show it anymore!

The Torkelsons was the best. When that show was on Disney channel wasn't free - you had to pay to get it on your tv - but every couple of months they would have the Disney channel on non-subscribers for a week and that is all I watched!

reply

Going through the thread brought back a lot of memories..seeing Flash Forward, So Weird, The Famous Jett Jackson, but no one else mentioned Ocean Girl!! I loved it, I wished I looked like her..she was my Dickie Greenleaf

reply

I actually was able to download the entire first season and watch it. It was just as good as I remembered... better because I was able to appricate it more. They have the second season available on dvd, but I haven't been able to import it yet.

reply

Wow, goodness gracious I remember that show! Man, time is really flying!

reply

The other show was called "Almost Home"

reply

Does anyone remember the one where there was a group of kids who I think were studying to become EMTs or something? I remember one episode where they played a prank on one of the kids by giving a dog a bunch of toothpaste to make it look like it had rabies.

reply

in a heart beat. the guy from x men is in that (or his brother. one of the 2...)

hey does anybody remember when lee did this --->ô¿o ? look! i can do it too!!!
