Creepy kids movies

This movie totally freaked me out as a kid, and it got me thinking about other similar creepy kids movie from when I was growing up(born in 1981)...A few that come to mind were Return to Oz, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Never Ending Story, The Secret of Nimh, Watership Down, and the Alice and Wonderland TV movie from the 80's all blew my mind at the time...Any others come to mind?

You named most of the ones I remember except for Something Wicked This Way Comes and Watcher in the Woods. But I've heard others mention The Plague Dogs and The Peanut Butter Solution.

Oh, The Garbage Pail Kids, like from the trading cards=) And also, not a movie, but the tv show "The Storyteller" is a Jim Henson production (the guy who did Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal). Some of the episodes are pretty weird.

I agree with all of yours - and about the Alice in Wonderland TV movie...is that the one that has some weird monster walking by in the mirror?

Legend is weird too but I don't know if that is really a kid's movie because Tim Curry is pretty scary in it.

I remember in Return to Oz those roller monkeys were freaky!!

NO MORE HORROR REMAKES!

The Christmas Toy and The Worst Witch have their freaky moments. And all the Care Bears movies. And the My Little Pony movie. I keep thinking of more...

I haven't seen it, but I've heard that The Adventures Of Mark Twain is creepy. I saw one clip from it on youtube, and it did look creepy. The Nightmare Before Christmas is creepy too in some parts. I will try to think of more. I think I have seen others and thought that they were too much for kids.
