I watched this film years back, and bought I Vitollini. It gave me an appreciation for Italian Cinema that I never imagined i could have.

You realise when you watch the films mentioned, the impact they had on scorsese;s films. I vitollini is a major infuence for mean streets.

You can see Fellini's camera moves in his films. I rewatched Apocolypse now after watching 8 1/2 and realised how much it was influenced by the film.

I recomend all young film students watch this documentary. If you want to know who inspired the filmmakers of the 60;s. It is all the exlanation you need

yeah, when you talk about fellini's camera moves in scorsese's works i think of the scene of goodfellas where he presents all the wiseguys in the restaurant with a long fluent shot...the camera slowly making his way through the crowd...much alike some of the typical fellinian shots in 8 1/2, amarcord...
