I Actually don't know...

I actually don't know if I liked this movie or not. There were lines that were funny as hell(Action fans,Help us!), But there were parts that I didn't like or made me uncomfortable. I have never been on the fence about a movie before. I can't make up my mind. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

Is there anyone else who can't make up their mind about Cecil B. DeMented, & we could figure it out together?

reply

I've made up my mind and I like this movie, but I know how you feel. I think what you should do, and this is what I've done, is watch the movie again and see how you feel. I think that second time watching a movie is when you can deside whether you want to watch again and again.

hope I could help...

I was exactly the same way with this movie, and "Pecker." I watched both of them a second time to see how I felt, and enjoyed each even more! Now they're both favorites.

I like this movie but I don't know if I could defend it as being "good." It depends a lot on to what extent you agree with the stance on Hollywood, how much you like Kenneth Anger and hate Forrest Gump. It's like Caddyshack for an art house crowd, however oxymoronic that sounds.

I was extremely disappointed the first go round. Now I count it among my favorites. Alicia Witt and Melanie Griffith are the stand-outs. And of course, the beautifully written script and dialogue.

You SAID it, jeffnova - I, too, was disappointed the first time I saw it, and it wasn't until tonight when I saw it once again, and fell apart laughing, having a great time with it. A few days ago, I saw it listed on eBay and snatched a copy (7:06 the big snatch).

Anyway, I'm a convert - DEMENTED FOREVER

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

Funny as Hell but there are parts that make you uncomfortable?
