Guilty Pleasure

Wow, this show is good and bad at the same time. While I am constantly annoyed at Penelope for always saying "lil ole" I do love the Hooded Claw. Because: In one episode Penelope was injures and Uncle Sneekly ccomes to the rescue and suggest Penelope should go to the paramedics. The doctor's name?Dr. Killapatient.

You know when I was a kid I used to watch this all the time. I had no idea it was so old. (Not very old mind you, I'm 16.) But it was on at some party a few weeks ago and you're right. It was a really good show.

This show doesn't take itself seriously. It goes out of it's way NOT to! I actually thought this show and Dastardly & Muttley's WW1 show were better than Wacky Races in terms of animation if nothing else.

I remember seeing this back in the late 1990's back when I was a young kid, but when I saw this on Boomerang a couple days back, I remembered how much I liked Dum-Dum and Yak-Yak because they were so funny!

Example:

"Ready!!" cries Pockets

"Aim!!" cries Zippy.

"Uh...uh..." replies Dum-Dum.

"Fire, you Dum-Dum," says Clyde.

"Yeah! Fire, you Dum-Dum!" replies Dum-Dum.

One of the Pitstop writers was Michael Maltese (probably the head writer), who wrote a lot of the old Warner Bros. classic cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.). "Dr. Killpatient" is actually a joke from one of the old Bugs cartoons, where Elmer Fudd supposedly has "Rabbititus".
