Creeeepy! Jerry takes on an unnatural life of his own

I'm sorry, but I don't want to see a dummy do human things when he doesn't have his ventriloquist's hand in his back. That's an episode of 'Goosebumps' (or was it 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?'?). Weird.

It was The Twilight Zone, twice.

Also an Anthony Hopkins movie, MAGIC (1978). Most ventriloquists' dummies were
just plain scary. I preferred Senor Wences and his "Johnny," which was just his
hand dressed up as a little boy.

Well dolls in general are scary. You know you're thinking 'did that just blink?' 'This one that's talking, are there batteries in it?', they creep a lot of people out and sometimes with good reason I think.

Today's Sunday comic strip "One Big Happy" touches on how a lot of kids
really feel about talking dolls, clowns, etc. Pretty accurate.

Today's One Big Happy strip is about birds.

Some of the comic websites have a different "One Big Happy" than the one
that appeared in today's comics. Try www.azcentral.com.
