Wow, this movie isn't well known but hey, I liked it.

Okay, I'm 14 and from what the poster guy says, I shouldn't have liked this movie. But from what I saw of it, I really liked it. The star I thought was really cute. Not a bad actor either. The lines were pretty funny and though it isn't neccisarily an oscor worthy movie, but it was funny, cute, and it made me think.
Anyone else feel this way?

well when I saw it i was half asleep and it was on at 3:00 in the morning but from what I saw I liked it, like you said it is not an oscar worthy movie but hey- so what the heart wants what it wants, I was freaked out that Linda Cardalini was in this movie because she was so little and I always think of her as the really brainy nerd in Scooby Doo or the whatever she was in Freaks and Geeks well i guess thats all I have to say BYE BYE !!!!!!

I'm watching it on Encore now (past 2 a.m.), and it definitely has kept me entertained. I figured that it would be one of those poor versions of the Mark Twain tale, but it's been suprisingly good. The cast hasn't overacted as often happens in movies aimed at younger people; even Robert Englund's villain has been kept low-key. It has a very good cast of familiar faces who all look great.

It's nice to see husband-and-wife team Vincent Schiavelli and Allyce Beasley together.

I like that it didn't humiliate anyone, having them do things that make you cringe in embarrassment for them. You probably know the kind of thing I'm referring to. But, even the bully wasn't treated that way.

I've never seen the young actor playing the dual role, but I think he did a good job of portraying the two characters.

By the way, I'm 60+ and probably would have clicked past this another time. I was going to fill up time till another film started but decided to stick with this one. I like it, too!
