Well, I'm going to describe them based on their personalities.

Lester Dewitt: He was definitely a leader throughout half of the movie (while keeping the school hostage). He was also a caring and true friend, since he was extremely protective of Ziggy (protecting him from the cops and his abusive father). He was also watching out for the others (all the other kids in the group). He was the kind of person who didn't want to talk about his personal life to others (about his father, etc.), which is a sign for depression. He also had anger and trust issues, since he had problems trusting others (cops, school staffs, etc.), due to his father's death, which is a sign for an anxiety problem. I don't blame him for not trusting police officers, since what happened to his father was a tragedy. I lost a father while I was in high school, so I understand where he was coming from. However, he did have problems controlling himself around others that he didn't like.

Stephanie Williams: Very smart and intelligent. She was definitely the kind of person who would be described as a "nerd". It seems that she always had goals for her life such as becoming a doctor, helping people, etc. She reminds me of myself...I was exactly like her in high school such as wanting a decent education, getting good grades, etc. She was the kind of person who wanted to make a difference, which explains why she was president of the Student Council. She was always very caring and helpful, since she cared about Lester a lot. I think she was also playing hard to get, since she knew that Lester had feelings for her and she wanted to take it slow. She also had great tastes in clothes, since she seemed to be well-dressed.

Zacharias 'Ziggy' Malone: He was quiet and very artistic. Very innocent and harmless. He was definitely the kind of person who wouldn't kill a fly. I definitely admired him for his paintings. He had very creative talents. I also liked the fact that he was the kind of person who never wanted to cause drama. He was also a survivor, since he managed to live on his own in the school's attic. I thought that was amazing, since he seemed to be a 15-year-old teenager. All I can say is that he had courage to get away from his abusive father and that he inspired others through his paintings. I thought it wasn't fair for him to die in the end, since he was innocent and never meant for anything to go wrong.

Rodney J. Templeton: He seemed that he definitely had been in trouble before in his life. I think that he hanged out with a lot of gang members. He seemed to be a criminal type, since he had the heart of wanting to shoot the cop, which he also had a hard time controlling himself. He was also the kind of person who wanted to be in control of the group (around the time they hostaged the school). He was pressuring Lester to shoot the cop, so I think that he have controlling issues as well. He also had anxiety issues, since throughout half of the movie, he was worried about the SWAT team finding them inside the school.

Lynn Sabatini: She was definitely an outcast and a loner. It seemed she didn't have a lot of friends. She seemed to be confused about a lot of things in her life such as lack of goals, etc. I think she had a low self-esteem and feeling angry about herself (about being pregnant, etc.). It also seemed that she was jealous of Stephanie for being "perfect". I think that she had given up hope for herself, since she knew that she wouldn't be in high school for very long, due to pregnancy. I also think that she blamed herself for how she got pregnant, since she said that all she really wanted was a kiss. She was also sarcastic at times such as when she said, "Let's go global." LOL...I thought that was funny.

Robert 'Rivers' Tremont: He acted like he was high on drugs and he acted kind of weird. He seemed to be someone who liked to party a lot. Even though he acted like a good friend to the group, he didn't seem to take things seriously enough. If someone is on drugs, then he/she wouldn't have taken things seriously (at least that's how I see it). Let me put it this way: I know that he helped out Lester at times thoughout the "school hostage thing", but not as much as Stephanie did. He just wouldn't be someone I would really count on.

Lester- He seem like a real cool friendly person. He was very protective of Ziggy he was like a brother to Ziggy and I thought that was very sweet. I can agree that he was known as the leader taking control of everything.

Stephanie- She was very smart and seem to stand by Lester. All she wanted was just to be free from the hood and want better for the school.

Rivers- I think he is like a class clown.....loves to make jokes and get by on things just like Ziggy said in the beginning of the movie.

Ziggy- What can I say about Ziggy? He was just a sweet kid and his father was an abuser and hits him and he tries to hide from his father. Somehow he just got his self caught in a sticky situation.

Lynn- She was very much to herself, but smart and wise when it came to figuring out how the get things right with the media. To me she seemed like a loner as well.

Rodney- Very rough guy and want to get down and dirty type. He very street and hood to.
