Anyone else like this film?

Even though the fight scenes were a bit over the top I really enjoyed them as well as the rest of this film. The whole flashback aspect was interesting and I thought the film had a nice pessimistic, dark feel to it. Anyone else enjoy this film?

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

I did enjoy the film. It had that dark feel to it. I agree about the fight scenes as well. They were way over the top. Overall the movie was enjoyable.

this movie started off pretty good. i was glad to see donnie yen in charge and doing his thing. but the writing was weak! the story seriously lagged and i was so tempted to fast-forward through the middle parts but OMG...

the action sequences are amazing. being a fan of donnie and bruce i was thrilled to see him giving a shout out to THE legend. every fight scene from start to finish are both beautiful and brutal.

does anyone else like this film?? i can only speak for me and my friends who were forced to watch this movie by me that donnie is a genius! love this movie and i wish more people knew about him. i'm american but haven't been back to the states in almost a decade...have people heard about him??

I'm a huge Donnie Yen fan but I hate hate hate this movie. Come to think of it, I also hate Ballistic Kiss, and that was also his solo directorial effort.

What Donnie really needed was a solid producer or director who can rein in his excesses. Whoever made the sound effects for Legend of the Wolf deserves to be crucified - WTF was all that whirlwind sound about? And the overblown score?

I believe he has found a great partner in Wilson Yip. The results? Only the best martial arts movies in the past decade:

SPL
Dragon Tiger Gate
Flashpoint
Ip Man
Ip Man 2

Griffin
