Which scene makes you cry ?

I dunno about you guys, but the REAL reason I hate to watch Hindi films is that they make me CRY. I was literally sobbing my way thru the movie (I was with my girlfriends and half of the cinema was weeping at that time, so it was not a big deal). Just wanna share the saddest part of the movie, in no particular order:-

- the speech competition, where little Anjali is to talk about 'Mother';
- and since she's speechless, the help from her father (Rahul-played by SRK);
- the scene where Kajol's Anjali decided to dress up like a 'lady', and everyone laughed at her;
- Tina on her deathbed;

Gosh, there are a lot actually, but I can't seem to remember 'em (I watched this movie in 1998 when it was first released!) Any more?

The scene that made me cry? Probably most would be when big Anjali leaves on the train, and Rahul is just standing there looking at her with this "expression" on his face, like HOW AM I GOING TO LIVE WITHOUT HER?! and Anjali's crying. That scene always makes me break down, even though I've seen this movie an easy six or so times. Also, the end (of course!) makes me cry. Beautiful, superb ending.

I think the saddest parts of the film, even though I didnt cry are:

When Rahul ran up to Anjali and said "I love you" and that was sad because he wasnt really aiming it at her, he wanted to say it to Tina, but he didnt have the courage and Anjali thought that he said it out of love for HER, which I thought was misleading lol.

When Anjali Sharma left on a train to go back home because her father was sick and Rahul was like "YOU'RE LEAVING ME!!" and shes like "I HAVE TO" and then he says "I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT ANYMORE!"

When Anjali Khanna read the eighth letter from her mum saying "I felt like I got in the way of their relationship, they are meant to be together" (referring to Anjali and Rahul) and Anjali Khanna had tears in her eyes.

Thats all I can think of now lol

I almost cried at the begining of the film, when Tina is dying. And I was like "hey the movie has just started, you can't cry so soon".
But the scenes that really made me cry were when Rahul tells Anjali he is in love with Tina and then the song "Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayee" begins to sound.
And the scene in the train, Rahul telling Anjali "I don't mind. Just go", and when he runs toward her.

Ok, I've seen this movie so many times so I remember Alot of them:

1. When little Anjali tries to give a speech about her mother.
2. Anjali crying after Rahul admits his love for Rani
3. Anjali leaving on train.
4. When Anjali tells little Anjali about her mother in Summer camp and little Anjali starts crying.
5. When Anjali leaves with her 'fiance' to get married from summer camp. (& that sad song comes up again!lol)
6. The ending.. soo happy and sad :) (When they finally have each other)!

Hands down, the one where Kajol leaves on the train. I've seen KKHH about 39082908234 times, and it STILL makes me cry.

reply

it has to be the 'tujhe yadde ne mere ayyae song' part.

The whole movie made me cry. It was a big ordeal sitting through this 3 hrs of torture.

so many things made me cry.

1. when little Anjali has to speak about Mother and her fahter helps her.
2. When Anjali dresses up and everybode laughes at her
3. When Anjali leaves
4. When Rahul sings "Congratulations and Celebrations" and than Anjali says "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, you wouldn't understand Rahul" and goes away and he says "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, you wouldn't understand Anjali"
5. When she goes away and the little boy starts to speak

So nearly everything made me cry.

*lol* the whole film. honestly, it started and I had tears in my eyes.

- when anjali dresses up and everybody laughs at her and she runs away and rahul comes after her and consoles her
- when anjali comes back after trying to tell rahul she loves him
- little anjali cries and anjali tells her about her mum
- the ending.

Definitely the dying scene of Tina and when Rahul crawls onto her bed and, the one I just can't watch: When Anjali wants to tell Rahul that she loves him and he practices his "Tina, I love you"s with her. That's such a hard scene....

That's such a heartbreaking scene. When Anjali suddenly realises that Rahul means Tina and not her.

For some reason the scene that made me get misty eyed was when Rahul and Anjali meet at the summer camp, and say hello without saying a word.

reply

Yes, that's a nice scene and from what I know the fave scene of SK, Kajol and the director. Would you believe it - this whole scene was improvised! Makes it more believable, I think.

the part when rahul and anjali run to each other and he blurts out "i love you" and then anjali is devastated when she realizes it wasnt meant for her.. and made me REALLY cry is that rahul didnt see that anjali was crying, because he couldnt tell she was crying thanks to the rain :(

fantastic movie

reply

I think this has been said before but the whole film was sad. Although there is one exception I got really teary eyed whenever I watch the ending scene where Tina gave little Anjali the tumb/tumbs up. I cry whenever i see it, it makes really sad.

reply

I'd have to say
1. the "tujhe yaad na meri aaye" song. As soon as it starts to play I start to well up.

2. also when the the three are singing KKHH theme cuz you know it can only work out for two of them and one them is gonna have their hrt broken.

3. when anjali dresses up and gets made fun of, i sort of get misty

reply

the whole movie was so sad. i was crying in every scene...bit exaggerated there. but anyway, u get the gist. some bits were...
- when anjali dresses up like a girl and everyone laughs at her. i feel so sorry for her and i get really angry at everyone including tina and rahul for laughing at her.
- when rahul practices his 'i love u' on anjali but actually meant for tina.
- the whole ending bit where he goes into her room before the wedding and blah blah.
- when anjali goes away

agh every scene made me cry.

I just watched this film for the first time yesterday, and I have to admit that I didn't cry once. I think I felt sadder reading through every one else talk about the scenes than I did when I was actually watching them. Well, maybe, I do admit it had a lot of sad parts but maybe it just didn't feel as real for me since I watched it right after I watched Dil To Pagal Hai where SRK is practically playing the same character (as always).

Ah sobfestathon!!!!

Iv seen this movie a bajillion times and something will make me cry EVERY time!
In no particular order though:

1) When Tina is dying
2) When little Anjali cries during the mother speech, that kills me every time! sana syed did an amaazing job there
3) everyone laughing when anjali dresses up (bastards!)
4) When Rahul confesses that he loves Tina (stupid cow, shouldve been more clear, i felt awful for anjali there)
5) when big anjali tells little anjali about her mom at camp and she starts crying
6) When rahul acts out the "i love you" sign to anjali on her wedding day (so poignant!) the screen was BLAAZING with chemistry!
7) the ending, when they FINALLY get together

so basically, yeah the entire movie lol. Really patehtic how after 8 years it still gets to me EVERY time. :P
