What is a falafel? All I know is that it is some Jewish food. What is it? Thanks.

hey...a falafel is a vegetarian kebab made out of chick peas... they are so nice..

1. Ground spiced chickpeas shaped into balls and fried.
2. A sandwich filled with such a mixture.

No idea, just knew it sounded funny, kinda like a chimichanga (sp?)....i'm gonna go look that one up....
