Who was it actually in the end who was using the fake credit cards? I thought it was flip because of the heroin addiction, but then at the end danny calls the cops about the cards and a cop car is seen going after anya and the drama queens taxi... also it was the drama queen who puts the cards on the fire at flips "funeral"... just need a bit of closure if anyone can help.
sharewell everyone at the funeral put something of theirs in the fire, and when danny noticed that the cards had that certain name on them, you could see something click in his head (not to mention the tight shot on the cards burning).
plus, the debt collectors had been coming to that last apartment long before flip got there.
It's Nina. It's really obvious once you watch the film a few times. She's really defensive and nervous around the debt collectors. Plus she's the one you see put the cards on the fire.
I just don't understand why Danny lies to the bill collectors. Is he just messing with them or something? It makes him look guilty.
I thought it was Anya, but Nina makes more sense I guess!
share1. you are right it is nina who was involved in the credit card fraud. in the book her character is called mellisa ( i think) who was a heroin junkie.
2. danny lies to the detectives because he has no defence to convince them otherwise. after giving so many people false information, and the police find his real name and file dating back before the brisbane flat, they are convinced that he is also the fraudster.
Did they find his real name? I don't think they mention they mention his real name.
They say it all adds up to Robert J Corcoran but then how would they know about the house at the start of the film?
