The composers also did the music for The Rock, and the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies. Also great!!

I'd heard the producers originally wanted Enya for the vocal tracks.

I’ve long thought Lisa is much better than Enya. Sure, if Enya was tabbed for this most would have loved the result and know no different, but Lisa was delighfully supberb and gained a ton of new fans thanks to this amazing film.

Yeah it seems a little too good because Zimmer basically reused it for pirates of the carribean lol

The main tracks for the battle in Germania and the first Coliseum battle are awesome, but my favourite is the more subdued but threatening track entitled on the CD as "Am I not Merciful", where Commodus goes nuts on Lucilla after Maximus is caught.
