What do you think happened after the movie?

I like to think that all those who supported Commodus and his whole power base were put to the crucifix, especially the repellant Senator Falco, and that peace reigned in Rome for many decades after the Senate took back control of the Roman Empire, at least until the Christians caused enough trouble to make Rome fall by allowing the Barbarians in.
