I may be misinterpreting this, but the Massage Boards are quite separate from this forum. This forum is a Discussion Board, not a Message Board. I don't think IMDB has any intention of discontinuing Discussion Boards. If IMDB did that, my participation would end because I don't have any social accounts and will never succumb to social media.

shareAhem! It appears I am wrong. I thought forums were called Discussion Boards (separate from Message Boards -- basically user-to-user webmail), but it looks like both are shutting down.
I guess I'll be moving to https://www.themoviedb.org
I haven't joined yet, but it looks like most people will be there.
