Does anyone know the name of the song Hallie sings in the scene when Carmen is being filmed. You know the one in the factory.

I never heard the soundtrack to Carmen before and when I first saw this movie, believe it or not, when she sang that song I thought, "Hey, that the song frm that episode of Gilligan's Island!" Hee Hee. Anyone remember that from the epidode where Harold Hecuba comes to the island and they put on the play Hamlet set to music. One of my favs.."I ask to be, or not to be" Funny :-)

It is a variation of an aria from Verdi's opera Carmen. This opera is what the movie Carmen Jones is based. Common knowledge....

Except that "Carmen" was Georges Bizet's opera, not Verdi's.
