Anyone here see this in the theatre?

So people always wonder "what was it like to see Psycho in the theatre if you didn't know the twist?" or "what was it like to see Empire Strikes Back and not know Darth Vader was Luke's father?"

I wonder "what would it have been like to see Bad Boys II expecting something like the first one, and getting decapitated cadavers, brains falling out of heads, dead giant breasts, people getting shot in the eyeball/neck, rats humping, Will Smith dropping N bombs and pointing guns at kids, ALL FOR 2 and a half hours!!" (I still can't believe this movie is just as long as The Dark Knight)

Don't get me wrong, I love this movie for what it is but I saw it on DVD way after i had heard everything about it and knew what to expect. But anyone here see it in the theatre, thinking "what the HELL is going on??"

I watched it in the theater. Martin Lawrence grabbed most of the laughs for almost every line he made and for the whole 'estacy' trip scene but Will Smith got a lot of laughs during the 'Reggie' scene when he starts rapping the Ludacris song and askes the kid if he wanted to make love to a man.

I saw this in the theatres and I was blown away. I love Bad Boys 2, the haters and trolls can rant all they want, still changes nothing about why I love this movie. I just hope it gets released on Blu-ray soon.

I know right! I don't get why there's so much hate for this movie. I love it!

saw it in the theater before i saw the first one. i thought it was awesome, rented the first one, and was shocked by how tame it was compared to the sequel.

What a tremendously hostile world an IMDb user must endure...

ya, my best friend and I saw this film during the summer before 9th grade; i guess we were 13 back then. Anyway, yes it was a real punch in the face, we didn't expect anything like it but were true fans of the original so ya. However we were motivated enough to sneak in to see this because technically we were under age; think we bought tickets for tomb raider or something instead. Funny thing is, when it ended we were so amazed that we stayed and saw it again.

I saw it in theaters. I remember going in expecting the first film. It was the first time that a movie left me exhausted. But in a good way. One of my favorite moviegoing experiences. If there is such thing as Bay at his best, this is it. And it's way better than the first one.

I remember seeing it in the theatres adn the bass was up so high that it seemed to pierce through my chest at times. I was disappointed that it had extremely different music from the first one.

The first one was a memorable experience for me. I remember going to the theater and when the feature presentation started, instead of hearing the columbia theme, we get the theme song. I was pleasantly surprised there.

I thought that seeing Bad Boys II in the theater was a mediocre experience for the most part.

However, that part about Mike and Marcus talking about colonial rats always gets me.

I saw it in the movie theater. I had trouble following the movie, and the final sequence was just so stupefying, I don't regret watching it but I do know why it gets trashed.

One of my friends earned his reputation for being the guy that sleeps through the most unbelievable things from this movie, alone. He literally fell asleep during the movie. As those large vehicles came busting through the small shanty houses, the theater was rumbling and he was completely out. I couldn't believe it.

I saw this when it was released in theaters back in 2003.

- I remember it was the longest action film I had ever seen.

- I remember the action was original, well planned and choreographed and did not hold back.

- I remember an awesome and hilarious experience.

Bottom line:

No action film has since been made like it. Period.

I was 12 and saw it opening weekend with my mom and I remember loving every minute. I remember my mom saying it was a little over the top, but she could tell it was a lot of money put in the film and enjoyed it. I was amazed at the whole film and declared it my favorite action film afterwards. I had to keep raving about the movie that year and couldn't wait until it came out on DVD. The audience loved it, I remember everyone cracking up at the Reggie scene and the TV store scene. Great action film to see on the big screen, I saw it twice. Hopefully Michael, Will, and Martin sign on and make a third one, I've been waiting for years.

Wish I had seen it, I was actually planning to see it that summer, but fell through. Eventually saw it on DVD a couple times. Even brought it to school that autumn and popped it in, in my photog class. The teach was cool so she let everyone do whatever on the computers while we did work. I showed the MacArthurt Causeway car chase to like a good chunk of people at that time. It was fun, good memory. I remember loving that scene a lot, still do.

Remember seeing it back in 03, my mum talk me and my brother as we were to young to see it on our own. What an experience full on action, violence, car chases, loads of swearing. Their was some great laughs particularly the scene where there at that TV hifi store and confessing to the camera the audience was laughing a lot.
But yeah by the end you kinda felt tired given the length on the film and how much stuff was crammed in it.
