Gem's voice
One thing I remember about this show is how grating Gem's voice was. Sing-songy and flat at the same time. <shudder>

shareMelissa Joan Hart as the two aunts was pretty grating as well - she had absolutely no ability to differentiate the two characters. They should have had the live-action actresses do the voices, or just hire professional voice artists.
shareRight. But I guess it was cheaper to have Melissa do them both. Besides, her little sister is Sabrina and her mother is the producer.
Speaking of voices, for some reason Nick Bakay, the voice of Salem, did not reprise the role in the sequel series "Sabrina's Secret Life". In fact, nobody from STAS reprised their roles, but why Nick didn't is strange because he even voiced Salem on the live action series. Perhaps he just grew tired of it?
Hmmmm, I always thought that Hilda/Zelda sounding the same was intentional, at least in the animated series.
