Aunt Hair Color
Why are Sabrinas aunts so different from the real tv series? one looks like a slut and the other like a retro hippie?

With the hair color, I think they might have attempted to go along with the original movie hair. And I remember one of the aunts in the movie looked like a "retro hippie." That might have been it.

actually, this cartoon got it wrong.
In the original comics and cartoon tv series and later 1996 movie, Hilda's hair was red and Zelda's hair was green.
In this 1990's cartoon, Zelda's hair is red, which it shouldn't be.
If I Rememcer correctly the comic book versions of Hilda and Zelda are fairly similar, Hilda being the smart science witch (opposed to the 'stupid' one in the live action TV show) and Zelda being more of a hippie / nature magic focused witch.
