Why is it...

Why is it that scandinavian films like this one are always so great?
Well actually I know the answer myself, because it's scandinavian! Watching it, I even forget it's a different language. Scandinavian films are always like this, intimate, low budget, good story, very humain, everyone recognizes something of themselves and all the actors can really act, including the kids. By the way, doesn't everyone(the 2 other people on this board ;)) agree that the boy who plays Tsatsiki is such a sweet kid! I really love this movie, probably made for kids but adored by me.

The Netherlands. And you?

'Maybe it's his time, what do we know? Who are we to play God?'

I agree, I just caught half of this film on TV and I loved it!
If you haven't seen it, but you have a chance to see it, stop reading now and go watch it!
I thought the story was sweet and the actors were great..STOP READING

<SPOILER AHEAD> and when Tsaziki and his mum both put on their sunglasses, near the end... such a wonderful feat in understated acting and directing. The scenes leading up to that had me almost in tears!

Okay I go hide in the splatter, gore, sci-fi and horror film section of IMDB now, lest everyone thinks I'm a ninny.
