is this supposed to be a parody of the thin red line?

I think it's a parody of "The Thin Blue Line"...the documentary that came out like over 10 years ago. It was an awesome documentary about the wrongfully accused. Since this is a mockumentary, I am only assuming it is mocking Thin Blue Line.

the thin blue line was a comedy series and i can only assume that as some of the names are similar (THOUGH I HAVEN'T SEEN IT) it is indeed a parody of Inspector Grim and his crew!

according to the movie connections link on this page this movie spoofs the thin red line not the thin blue line.
