does anyone know where I can find this movie?

I've looked everywhere and I'm convinced this movie doesnt exist. If anyone has seen it and know where I can find it please let me know.
Thanks!

im pretty sure it might of been one of those award show parodies like what jack black and sarah michelle gellar did with Lord of The Rings

According to here the running time is 106 minutes so it must be a feature length release somewhere though

"Alot of people may not know this but I happen to be quite famous"

I would also like this movie. How can no one have a copy? Where did you get it?

I saw this movie yesterday (19th July 2004) on Czech TV and that was great :-) Greetings from Prague

Are you sure you want to see this? It's pretty awful. Real awful. I actually had the opportunity to meet one of the filmmakers once. He seemed like someone with his head on straight, though very entrenched in the belief system of what Hollywood might think is "good". I none the less decided to check this film out. It took some finding but it turned up at a large, local video store. I never spoke to him again, and that's a good thing because I would have had to tell him this is one of the worst films I have ever seen. It's horrifically bad. It has a certain smug "inside" humor to it that it painfully unfunny. And it goes on, and on, and on. Why is it again that you want to see this?

Thanks for your opinion snowleopard, and I'll look forward to seeing your work, I'm sure with statements like these, you have some form of validation in the industry to know what you are talking about....

reply

Come on, are you really saying that because of one's job, or position in the industry, their level of criticism can't be validated unless they produce a superior product? Imagine if this applied to politics...

For what it's worth, as I noted in a PM about this, it isn't the worst film ever. I just thought it was too self important, and it surprised me as the person I met who was involved in it seemed level headed. In a sense you could simplify that to mean I was simply disappointed. Maybe you'll like the film? Don't let me stop you from seeing it if you find it. There are plenty of movies I liked, that others thought were no good.

reply

Umm, precisely. I'm saying most people have absolutely no idea what making any kind of film is like. Honestly, we arent talking about ideals and beliefs, the foundation of politics, we are talking about someone who is trying to communicate with others through their work. That isn't for criticism, it isnt whether its good or bad, its whether it speaks to you or not. You could say, "The whole time I was watching it, I kept thinking how pretentious it is" but not say, "Its pretty awful. Real awful", not to mention when you say something like " I actually had the opportunity to meet one of the filmmakers once. He seemed like someone with his head on straight, though very entrenched in the belief system of what Hollywood might think is "good"." you are coming off as quite pretentious. As if to say, you know the generalized system hollywood? considers "good", and you also feel he is entrenched in this apparently city limits shared idea. I would say you are making broad charecterizations of an entire city and industry, something that is by absolutely no means coordinated. Not only that but I think you need to realize your opinion and perspective isn't right, its just yours. No one's perspective is "right". To each his own, and you need to realize your perspective isnt anymore valid than any others. I'm not saying don't express your opinion, I'm saying don't act as any kind of authority, since you most obviously arent.

By your standards then, what possible objective criteria could there be for reviewing films, or art for that matter? And if that is the case, then why should you even show concern with mine? Furthermore, why do you feel that my opinion comes off as one of any sort of authority, simply because I had contact with someone who worked on this film? Or because I'm a filmmaker? That, is certainly just your opinion. For all I know, you're the person I had contact with?

Believe me, I know how difficult films are to make. But that doesn't excuse what I thought of this one. I am sure Speed 2 was very challenging to make, yet I thought it was awful as well. This film's rating of 4.4 over 72 votes shows there are plenty of people that seem to agree with me. I encourage you to track down this film and see it. Then, please share your opinion of it. I'll let you be the judge if you think it's masterful, or awful. or whatever wording you choose.

I'm out.

SOME people may think it's awful. But I remember laughing my ass off at the premier. For me, it was a lot of fun to watch. And at the end of the premier, I shook the producer's hand and thanked him for a fun evening. Not the greatest movie ever made - not by any means, but it was fun - and that's all I really want out of a movie. Maybe others want something more...
