So Teena Brandon raped Tisdel?

If a woman dupes another women into thinking that she is a male and the duped woman has sex with the duper doesn't that mean that the duped woman was raped? In the US justice system would a woman be convicted of rape if she duped another woman into thinking she was a man and had sex with her?

In the movie Revenge of the Nerds, the nerd character dupes a woman into sex by way of having on the same halloween costume as the woman's boyfriend. In real life the nerd would be convicted of rape.

Very interesting thought. I saw this film 8x over the years and never looked at it that way. Sex under false pretences maybe? Not sure if thats considered rape since Lana consented to the sex. Lana should have done her due diligence . And I believe there is a part of Lana that did wonder about the little things that didnt make sense with Teena. I think Lana chose to ignore the tiny signs because Teena treated Lana like a queen , and Lana was used to men that didnt treat her well.
