Bouncing Souls

I caught this last week on Netflix and I have to admit that I fast-forwarded through large portions of it. The scenes with Timothy Olyphant and Christina Ricci were well-acted and well-paced as you would expect from the pair, but the surrounding characters (even Marta 2 from Arrested Development - Patricia Velasquez) were hard to watch.

The most enjoyable part of this flick, for me, was when Olyphant's and Ricci's characters turn on the radio and "mosh"/"slam-dance" to a Bouncing Souls song. The Souls have been my favorite band since '98 and this appears to be one of only four feature-films to have the Souls' music. I cringed a bit at the scene, but I was so excited to hear New Jersey's worst-kept punk secret in a movie that I forgave any weirdness.

The end.
