a good film no matter what.. {a review of sorts}

i am not religious.. but faith is a lovely thing and can have many interpretations..
that said.. i did adore this film years ago and just re-watched it. ^_^
it has a lot of goodness and fun..
yet still manages to go deeper than expected whilst remaining light-hearted enough.
all of the actors.. major and minor roles.. were excellent.
there is still a freshness in it and the story today.. despite the film being already 15 years old.
it seemed to capture some real and poignant ideas for harmony within communities..
and also some very original and lovely new york moments.
it is most underrated in my opinion.. so if you come across it.. do give it a go.
put any preconceived judgements away and enjoy a story with heart and of friendship and love.

I completely agree!

It is one of my absolute favorites. It doesn't matter how many times I watch it, I always enjoy it.

It is high on my "feel good" movie list.

Sure, you can nit pick details and over analyze until the cows come home.. but you can do that with most movies.

I stand firm with my opinion that it is fanatic.
