Oh, come on! He may kind of resemble Jim Morrison, but Jesus, this guy is terrible. I've always loved the story of Hamlet, and I think it's great how modern film-makers are adapting Shakespeare's work and putting it in contemporary settings, but at least cast the main character with a decent actor! Mel Gibson was great. Ethan Hawke? Well, I can't get too fussy. After all, he did f--k Uma Thurman...but still!
shareDo you hate Ethan or his portrayal of Hamlet? I thought that he did an amazing job, capturing how sick he was with hate over the loss of his father, as well as how sick with love over Opheila that he was. I couldn't see any other actor taking on this part.
shareI thought his interpretation of the role was valid, and well acted. He really understood Hamlet.
