No DVD to Be Found

Well, I've researched all over the internet, and apparently, as of yet there is NO DVD or VHS release of this movie (or Part II, for that matter).

I suggest that those of you that really want a release of this movie email the producer or someone affiliated with the movie...that's probably what I'll be doing, and there's strength in numbers.

In the meantime, I guess I'll watch to see if it's playing on TV and tape it, but chances are slim *sigh* I used to know someone that taped it, but I haven't seen that person for quite awhile, and they've probably taped over it by now.

Sooo, PLEASE post to this board if you notice that the movie is on TV (time and channel), or post if you write to anyone affiliated with the movie about a release. If I get any response, I'll keep you posted!

Did you have any luck tracking down a producer? I am really wanting to get a copy of this movie. I saw it in high school and loved it and just recently saw some clips on you tube. Please let me know if you have any luck; I would really appreciate it!

I have been looking for this movie for years. I have direct TV and live in Texas so don't know if this is applicable to your viewing area. It airs on LMN channel 253 here on April 4, 7 o'clock central time and April 5 at a different time. I didn't catch the time. I am planning on trying to switch it to DVD, if I can figure it out. Good Luck Laura Ingalls Wilder fans!

Lifetime Movie Network has both parts scheduled for Wednesday April 4, 2007 and Thursday, April 5, 2007. (But we don't get this on our cable network, so I still won't get to tape it.)

I don't believe both parts are showing on LMN - DirecTV. What they are doing is showing what I believe is Part 2 twice once at night and then the next morning. I haven't been able to get Part 1 on DirecTV in the last 2 yrs.

*UPDATE*....it is now available on DVD thru Amazon.
Both movies on the one disc...
'Beyond the Prairie' (2000) and 'Beyond the Prairie 2' (2002)
got it today.. it is great.

Strange. I just watched both parts on a dvd from the library.
