Let's Get Real !!

This movie had so many errors in airplane flight that one wonders if it was supposed to be a big joke on the viewers ?
First, the lightning bolt fried the electronics but the autopilot amazingly healed itself- the noise in the holed cabin would have been deafening apart from causing the plane to be unstable.
The cure for fried electronics seems to be hitting the control box with a baseball bat-since the electronics are in the belly of the plane, this might free up the display bulbs but hardly the essential circuitry.

The 727 is still apparently still at cruising speed since the throttles have not been touched, the lowering of the undercarriage would not only be fatal at these speeds but is probably interlocked by design so that it is not possible.
The 'refueling boom is not a 'solid strong' chunk of steet but a flexible hose to transfer fuel, probably about 8 inches in diameter.
The training to hold the planes attitude level is ok but no instruction to lower speed before landing. It was inferred that the Auto pilot not only lines up the plane to the runway but adjusted the throttles as well. This is an automatic landing system (ALS) which was not apparently fitted to the 727.
The reverse thrust after touchdown was so late that the plane would have already run out of runway, was she also using the brakes with no training ?
Finally, after the expected succesful stop, the engines seem to automatically spool down and finally turn off with no operator input.

This movie is full of errors. This is what you get when you don't have a technical adviser. But what sticks with me is the grossly overused movie ploy of everyone being unconscious. When I see this, it makes me discount the whole movie.
