Looking for episode from 5/13/71 - James Brown, Santa Fe Train

I am looking for the episode of the Mike Douglas Show from May 13, 1971. James Brown co-hosted. Kid Gavilan, the boxer, was the special guest, and Santa Fe Train was the musical guest.

My dad was the lead singer of Santa Fe Train, and they were the musical guests of this show, and I've been trying to track down this particular episode for a LONG time.

My dad recently passed away earlier in November, and I had been trying to track it down for him, for years, and was unsuccessful in doing so.

I spoke to people at King World Productions back in 2007, and they wanted $300 to restore the episode and send it to me on DVD, but I was just out of high school at the time, and didn't have the money to do so.

By the time I had the money to buy it, King World had sold the entire vault of shows to CBS. I tried to contact the CBS licensing department at every office - Atlanta, New York, and Santa Monica. They just kept giving me the run around.

A friend of my dad's recently contacted me a few months before my dad passed, and told me he had gotten through to the offices of CBS, and they informed him that the entire catalog of the Mike Douglas Show was preserved in an underground salt mine, and they had NO PLANS on restoring the films to digital, for release on DVD.

Why in the world would they even purchase the masters of the shows if they aren't planning on some sort of DVD release??? Ridiculous, and very sad for me, because I may never get to see one of my dad's most integral performances of his life.

If any fans of the show happen to have a VHS of this show, it would certainly be appreciated if you could contact me. It would mean the world to me and to my family. Thank you.
