I was wondering if there was any real success to this show, it would be interesting if any long-term relationships happened due to it, or even a marriage. Does anyone know?
I read a while back they did actually have a few marriages but some ended in divorce. I do not remember how many though.
shareAccording to Wikipedia, there were 29 marriages and eight engagements. . . out of around 22,000 dates, LOL. So, no, I wouldn't consider it too successful, especially if you consider that some of those marriages surely ended in divorce.
I'd call it a success as a method of entertainment, though! I loved watching that show.
So, would you call this the early TV version of match.com? because that's what I would call it lol.

I wouldn't really call that a fair comparison, since match.com lets people actually make informed decisions about who they're meeting, and surely must be more effective! If their success rate was that poor, I'd think another site would have eclipsed them by now. ^_^
shareI posted this in another thread: There was a short segement in an episode in which a former contestant returned, to tell that he had married the with the woman he met on Love Connection. Then, a toddler came out on stage, also a product of the same Love Connection.
