Four years later from my original thread and we are almost to "Five and five".
shareAnd that is really tragic – because with each additional commercial, we lose that much more time of an actual program. If you'll notice, sitcoms and hour-long dramas have consistently gotten shorter and shorter in length.
Before we know it, it will be like that Ellen DeGeneres joke that she made him one of her standup comedy specials one time, where she said that people's attention spans were getting so small, that watching a TV show would be the length of a 30 sec. commercial!
