Who considers this show a game show?

To answer this question, I don't consider this show a game show, even though it is classified as a game show. What is a game show? Dictionary.con: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=game%20show explains it as A television show in which contestants compete for prizes by playing games of knowledge or chance. Is the price a second date with the person of the oposite gender? Is the game going out on three dates, one with each person of the oposite gender? When I think of a game show, I think of the shows like "The Price is Right", "Family Feud", "Jeopardy!", "Wheel of Fortune" and any of the game shows on the Game Show Network except for the romance shows (shows that deal with couples having feelings for each other or finding feelings for the oposite gender). The exception is the show "The Newlywed Game" because even though the show is all about romance, just like this show, the couples are already married and they answer questions to aquire points and trips/prizes. This show doesn't give out trips and the show doesn't give out prices whem I think what a prize is. In a way it just may be a game show, but not a game show in the way that I would think what a game show is. What do you think?

There are two types of games, games where you win money and games where you win something more valuble than money, i know finding that special someone is more valuble than a car.

This is not a game show, and I wish GSN would find an actual game show to air in place of this show. I don't consider finding that special someone to be a "game." It should be more serious than that.

Would you rather it be called a reality show??

As it is sort of the same format as the earlier "Dating Game Show", I guess - though I agree finding that special someone is not considered a game - GSN considers it a worthy program for their channel.

Well said....I agree with you.

I consider it a game show, because it's lighthearted and fun in its format – unlike something such as THE BACHELOR, which is much more serious in tone, so it would not qualify as a game show but instead, a "reality show".

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
