Can you say obsessed about Great Space Coaster? I liked the show myself when it was on.

Btw, I looked at Sally Struthers page and nowhere does it say she was on that show. I looked 3 times.

Charlote Rae was was never on the show either. I looked.
I looked and Kathleen Turner wasn't on it either.
Same with Aileen Quinn "Annie".
Same with Valerie Harper. She was on the Muppet Show, but not on Great Space Coaster.
Same thing with Mark hamil. He was on Muppet Show, but not Space Coaster.
Same thine with Carol Channing. Muppert Show, not Space Coaster.
Same with Richard Kiel.
Same with Henry Winlker.
Same thing with Karen Carpenter.

I did like that show myself when it was on. But where are you getting these guest stars that were never on the show? I looked at every one of those pages.

You have to much time on your hands to write all this.

I looked at Sally Struther's page again and still couldn't find that show. She was never on it.

I don't remember Fran or Gordile Gorillo.
Is this show all you can talk about? Do you have Aspergers?

No, my mind is very diverse. I love The Muppet Show also! What do you remember about The Great Space Coaster? Did you sign the online petition @ www. petitiononline.com/TGSC yet? It now has 1,925 signatures. What is your favorite great space coaster episode? Do you remember Linda Gray guest starring on TGSC back in 1983? I responded to you on The Aileen Quinn messageboard on IMDB also.

Then why do you keep asking people what they remember about the show a million times? And talk about people that allegedly guest starred. Nowhere on Sally Struther's page does it say she was on this show.

Isn't just once enough?

Trust me. on one great space coaster messageboard, somebody else rembered Sally Struthers being on TGSC. I can ask people a million and one times if they remember this show. This is America.

Check this page:

Nowhere does it say this show.

Do you remember The Anti- Gravity Day episode of The Great Space Coaster, in which everything in Coasterville floated up in the air?

reply

Her page still doesn't say this show....... She was never on it.

Monk should go back to the old writers.

If you look on tonnarific.com for The Great Space Coaster, it talks about how occasionally celebrities like Sally Struthers and Sugar Ray Leonard stopped by to visit. Which celebrity guest stars do you remember appearing on The Great Space Coaster besides mark Hamill and Valerie Harper? If you listen to the hour long The Great Space Coaster 20 year cast reunion conversation pod @ just my show.com , together they talked about how Actress "Mary" Kathleen Turner guest starred on the show. The last episode of The Great Space Coaster was taped 20 years ago back in the year 1986.

reply

It's toonarific.com for Actress Sally Struthers guest starring on The Great Space Coaster.

Hey Needles, you obviously love TGSC just was much as us. Stop trying to pretend you are not a fanatic too. Be honest with yourself.

Give the guy a break. You are on here as much as him. I am just as excited to see the Great Space Coaster on DVD as anyone. We need someone like him to get the ball rolling on a DVD relase. It's fans like him that rescued shows that have been cancelled. I think it's really, really possible that this will be on DVD. Let's all pray!

I don't remember that, but I know Fran sang some nice songs. Do remember when Gary Gnu behind a surf board was on the beach singing with the cast, I think it was "Bird is the word".

To Cainjs:
A lot of stuff on this site is contributed by members, so an absence of acting credits on this site doesn't necessarily mean that the actor never was in the show. I admittedly checked out this Space Coaster page because I find florida annoying on other pages. However, I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. A lot of times, actors' credits have to be added to pages by fans, especially if it's just a minor role or a small appearance. I've had people added to movie credits before.

Maybe there are other ways y'all can try to garner interest in the possibility of having your show put on dvd. I seriously doubt the effectiveness of a web petition, although I guess it's a good start, and think that a letter-writing campaign would also be a good idea.
Florida: You seem to spend a lot of time on these boards, considering the frequency with which I see you posting on the sites of other shows and movies that I liked as a child. You sure seem to know a lot about some good old 80s shows, though you talk as much as I do, which probably annoys people. That's why I try not to post a whole lot. I bet you'd also be good at finding fanmail addresses. You could write up a basic form letter to send to people that were on the show or something, then put it up on a webpage so people can just print it out to send. Make it so people can request a list of addresses from you or something. Paper mail is less easy to ignore than some random thing online.

I'm terribly sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, but I've already told you elsewhere that I've never seen this show. I was just trying to defend you and offer you another suggestion on something to do to try to get people to put this show on DVD, since you seem so interested in it. Well, more than just talking about the show repeatedly on any remotely related online forum. I guess it's kind of like how I'd love to see Kids Incorporated get released on DVD, since I totally loved that show, and my little niece is nuts about the episodes I've been able to show her.

reply

That's all right. The Great Space Coaster aired syndicated for 5 years from 1981 to 1986. It's a very rare out of date show.

reply

Hey uh... trptgrl, you did'nt seem to offer anything else other than what we have been trying to do for the last 3 or more years. "You've never seen the show?" Why post on the board, you are not helping actually. You seem to not like FloridianItalian. FloridaItalian is an excited fan that will show us the way, he will get this show on DVD eventually. We need fans like him for these lost shows. Maybe he can help you with Kids Incorporated.

I'd just like to say that I watched this show as a kid, and vividly remember Sally Struthers being on it. I know that gives no concrete proof, but I remember it because one of my sisters confused her with Sally Field.

I have seen mistakes on imdb before, if only obscure things like certain artists not being credited with songs that were in certain movies, i.e. some of the songs on Wayne's World 2 aren't on here.

To be brutally honest, though, I don't think I would buy this show on DVD at this juncture in my life. Maybe later if I have kids, but for now I don't really need to relive it. I'll sign the petition, though.

Sally Struthers, Mark Hamill, Sugar Ray Leonard and whoever else Floridian Italian comes up with were NEVER on The Great Space Coaster. The show was low budget and could not afford such guests. I watched every episode as a kid and never saw these people on it.

or you don't remember them all. I don't remember ALL of them, but I absolutely remember Charlotte Rae, Mark Hamill, Aileen Quinn, Marvin Hamlisch, and Sugar Ray Leonard on the show. I thought Ben Vereen was on once too but not sure. You can dislike Floridanitalian if you want but claiming 'everything he says is wrong' is ridiculous, because YOU are wrong, and there IS value in having a petition to get shows re-distributed-- just ask the creators of 'Futurama'.

reply

If you say they were on there, calling me wrong is pointless when it's YOU who has something to prove, and I see no proof. God, and who cares anyway? Do you realize how old this thread is?

(p.s.) And what's with the random, petition part of your rant? You sound as nuts as the other guy.

I worked on the show...so as an eyewitness I can tell you I was there in the studio when Sally Struthers, Mark Hamill, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Kathleen Turner were each on. I believe we shot a segment in the field with Henry Winkler.
