BlackStar Was Awesome

Blackstar was such a great show. I remember how magical the world was that he crashed on. The animals, enemies, and general atmosphere was darker and more mystical than that of He-man's. I can't wait until this comes out on DVD.
I also wish there was a Blackstar video game coming out on XBOX360 so I could play as John Blackstar and kick some ass. While their at it they should make a live-action movie version with Danny Devito playing as John Blackstar; I would thoroughly enjoy that.

It has been 30 years!! soon 31. A cool idea would be a big budget MOVIE remake utilizing Avatar level special fx (or maybe even better since Avatar was filmed years earlier) and an updated storyline (for example wormhole instead of blackhole and other more advanced sciences).

Black Star seems to me to be the first tv cartoon predating Thundercats, He Man, and She Ra that combined both futuristic hi tech science fiction and a kind of medieval sword/sorcery fantasy.

If the right people worked on the project and if there was enough funding a blackstar movie would be AWESOME.

Another idea I have is to have that world be smaller than Earth with noticably lower gravity (though not as low as the moon or Mars maybe 20 percent lower like Pandora in Avatar) with the human black star being physically much stronger than the inhabitants. Often in sci fi a visiting alien is much stronger than humans well in this story Black Star is the alien so let him be physically stronger because he evolved on Earth, a world with much higher gravity.

Also, no actual magic, instead how about the laws of physics are a tad different in this alternate universe he ends up in so a type of science that is not readily understood SEEMS like magic. That is the basis for Mxylplk in the Superman comix.
