Let Us Not Forget

The Shoah. Remembrance Day. Many movies have been made to honour the Memory - Schindler's List, The Pianist, Life Is Beautiful, To Be Or Not To Be are at or near the top of IMDB favourites' list. What happened to this gem? I cannot think of one reason why it should be neglected. It is a sublime film, it has everything - emotion, depth, humour, tragedy, imagination, pace. It is wonderfully scripted, acted and directed. It is a fantastic fairy tale that makes you feel for each of the characters. In my opinion it is one of the best films ever made.

It is therefore unbelievable that the media and the distributors have FORGOTTEN it. Surely there are thousands of people like me who would love it if they had a chance of seeing it. Additionally, the DVD is almost impossible to find. IMDB reports that it is only available for zone 2 in German with French subtitles. I have checked - it is incorrect. The distributors have hidden it in their archives.

Get it out of there please, for our enjoyment and for memory's sake!

I just watched the movie here in Turkey on CNBC-E so obviously the movie hasn't been totally forgotten!!

In Mexico, we have a very good Region 4 DVD. No extras, but the quality is great.

My sister and I just rented on VHS here in the US. I wish I had heard more about it. I think this film is fabulous. We found it by accident almost. We were just looking around for movies and stumbled across it. I wis there was a DVD of it.

There is cool s*** to do but it can't come to you so come on...There is life outside your apartment
