Colin's accent on DVD extras...VERY FUNNY

It is the second or third *casting* scene. He tries this VERY OVERDONE Texas-kind-of accent and it's just hilarious! Don't get me wrong, I love him, but it's just soooo funny!

Oh my god, you are so right. He sounds like friggin Blanche du Bois!!!

His accent was uneven in the film too, but he still did a great job.

Yeah, I've had this movie for a few years and recently decided I'd watch the extras before watching the movie. I agree, his attempt at a Southern accent is quite hilarious. How he was casted through those screenings is beyond me, but the right choice. Must have had to really work on that accent for the role. Granted, he still had that heavy Irish accent at the time. We can't all be perfect.

He still has an irish accent you know, its not like it changed just because he's been spending a lot of time in the U.S., i'm pretty sure he still lives in Dublin. I guess he's just gotten better at putting on american accents.

I noticed a very slight Irish accent briefly on one word (or set of words) Bozz said. But it still didn't take away from the movie. Didn't add anything either. I don't care much for war movies. After "In Bruges" I wanted to see more of what Colin could do and what he sounded like American. Or...uh....Texan. lol

He lifts me clear to the sky, you know he taught me to fly.

From the beginning to the end Colins Irish accent was very obvious but regardless of that he did a great job.
