Why did Wilson jump Bozz in the barracks?

Why did Wilson jump on Bozz in the barracks after he and Paxton came back at night?
And also, why did Wilson demand an apology the next day? That made no sense to me, since he was the one attacking.

And second...why did the Sergeant beat up the guy with the three kids in the beginning of the movie?

If you recall earlier in the shower, he says to Bozz: "I just want you to know, I have a great deal of dislike for you". He was basically opposed to Bozz's lack of regard for the rules, and carefree attitude, and when he attacked him he was releasing all the pent-up frustration. That, and also being humiliated by Bozz on the firing range.

The sergeant beat up the kid because he openly cheered for Bozz when he jumped off the hooch.
